The Calgary Drop-In Centre has been serving vulnerable Calgarians for over 50 years and is the largest organization of its kind in North America. We were brought on by Karo to design and develop the DI’s website in time for their holiday campaign. To turn around the site in under 2 months, we had to consolidate the content from their large main website and multiple campaign sites. We also had to improve the design so it was visually engaging but also easy to update for the staff. We also improved the mobile experience for their clients and donors.
The biggest challenge was to improve the donation process for the non-profit, allowing them to accept donations from their site in a quick and easy way. We streamlined the donation page and to allow them to accept one-time and monthly donations, or sponsor a meal for all the clients of the DI.
